Project Take Back

Our goal is to implement an ongoing awareness of the dangers of alcohol and drug abuses.

The Captain DUI Honor Squad consists of groups of elementary, junior high, high schools, and private and public college institutions. The youth become active advocates in the fight against D.U.I. and Texting while Driving.

Project Take Back” is designed to reach children with a diverse set of learning styles about drug abuse. In short, many of the children whom we serve come from single family homes and families in which reading and writing and the arts are not a significant force. With programs such as “Captain DUI Honor Squad”, we can make a significant impact on individuals and meaningful awareness of the importance of education vs. drug and alcohol usage, enforcing powerful reasons, for children, which fall into this deficit, to come to school to get the education needed to be successful in this world.

Project Take Back” will flow on an annual track. All Squad Members must achieve and maintain a B average or better and adhere to the principles of good citizenship. Squad members work together to support those who may occasionally fall short of scholastic requirements. Other Squad Members give support to those who occasionally have behavioral issues. This process will also involve teachers and parents, as well as community members.

Project Take Back” impact is not limited to school age children. Our project will be disseminated to families victimized by DUI drivers. This support is designed to help them through the crisis emotionally, spiritually, legally, financially, and medically. In turn, the Honor Squad will educate youth to the dangers, choices and consequences of DUI driving, while building effective leaders and wise decision makers of tomorrow.

Our Mission Statement and Target Population…..

Here in the US, we serve children who come from at-risk homes, According to our latest “Kids Count” Data, 45% of births are to teen mothers, 43% are to unwed mothers; 39% of children live in single parent families; and 29.5% of our residents are high school dropouts.  This data is significant because they contribute to an overall educational deficit on important life-sustaining subject matter, among our children.  With programs such as “Project Take Back”, we can make a significant impact on individuals and meaningful awareness of the importance of education vs. drug usage, enforcing powerful reasons, for children, which fall into this deficit, to go to school.

Problems our organization will address and how it will help….

The overall vision of “Project Tack Back” is an organization positioned as a fully integrated service foundation representing families of DUI victims and a strong public policy advocate efforts aimed at eliminating driving under the influence, increasing the use of seat belts and empowering our youth to use their life choices wisely.  To support these efforts, the establishment will work to raise contributions from individuals, corporations and public entities.

All services offered by “Project Tack Back” are unique because they reflect a one of a kind comprehensive package designed specifically for children and those helped by the Foundation.  Helping families survive the initial shock and initial transitional period of recovery is something done by the “ Project Take Back”.  These services are expanded by the development and implementation of early intervention programs for churches, and also corporations.  Survivors of crashes also serve as advocates, crusaders, and educators.  “”Project Take Back works to increase awareness of the pain and suffering left behind after a DUI & TEXTING crash.
